Irina Albu, Sales Director of Cordia Romania, spoke, during the panel “Romania`s booming residential market” at SEE Property Forum 2020 Bucharest, about the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic had on the Romanian residential market.
“During the lockdown in March-May 2020, we kept in touch with customers online, via Zoom and Skype, as well as by phone. We carried out follow-up activities and we assured our clients that the construction works are continuing according to the communicated schedule. During the two months of isolation, we concluded transactions that we had already started in January and February and we obtained new clients, with whom we concluded transactions in May and June. It was a difficult time, but we did not stop our activity “, said Irina Albu.
When the lockdown ended, Parcului20’s customers returned to the sales office located in Bd. Expoziției no. 2, where they benefited from the sales team`s presentations, carried out in compliance with all the necessary regulations in the context of preventing the spread of COVID-19. The modern technology, present in the sales office in the form of a 3D application through which the positioning and orientation of the apartments can be easily visualized, has helped a lot in the sales process.
“Our sales have increased and we already have reservations for Parcului20 phase two, which we have recently launched. We exceeded the percentage of 70% in terms of sales for the first phase, which is already commissioned by the authorities”, explained Irina Albu in the panel at SEE Property Forum 2020 Bucharest.
After the lockdown, the requirements of the clients who visited Parcului20`s sales office were focused especially on comfort and quality of living.
“We have noticed an increase in demand for apartments that offer a suitable space for working from home and a terrace where you can have a cup of coffee or take a break. We, at Parcului20, have 30 apartment configurations available and a large part of them is adapted to this new demand. We have, for instance, three-room apartments with a second bedroom that can be used as an office, a library or as a room for a small child. We have many terraces, some of them are partially loggia, they are deep and you can place there at least one table and two chairs”, explained Irina Albu, Sales Director of Cordia Romania.
Clients also appreciated, at Parcului20, the fact that the project is located in a good area – Cordia Romania, the project`s developer, pays special attention to location when choosing land-plots for its residential developments – having quick access to Herastrau Park, located at 15 minutes walk and six minutes by bike, having energy efficient apartments, integrated smart-home systems, charging stations for electric cars and a private garden of 3,000 square meters.
“The demand is still strong. If you are offering a good, well-positioned product with facilities in the area, of good quality, the demand will come. You have to explain how you are building, how you are delivering and how the residents` lives will improve “, concluded Irina Albu.
