Mauricio Mesa Gomez, Country Manager of Cordia Romania and Spain, discussed with journalist Bogdan Alecu, senior editor of Ziarul Financiar, about the importance of partnerships between local authorities and real estate developers for the accelerated and healthy development of Bucharest.
“We want to collaborate with the authorities, to work with other developers in order to have a legal framework through which we will be able to invest in public spaces, for the city to develop. Now, we can only act on the land-plots we own”, said Mauricio Mesa Gomez during the ZF Investiți în România show.
The General Manager of Cordia Romania ralked about Spain to illustrate how such a partnership improves the urban fabric of some areas and increases the inhabitants’ quality of life.
“When a project obtains the building permit in Spain, 10% of the area, of the CUT, is given to the mayor’s office. That area is then sold by the mayor’s office, which is investing in infrastructure “, explained Mauricio Mesa Gomez.
